Ballycrystal Boy makes his racecourse debut as a four-year-old, which is later than most horses get their first race. There is no form to assess and no way to know yet what he is capable of, but he will carry the colours of a yard in excellent form.
Jamie Snowden's Lambourn base has already sent out 82 winners this season, so Ballycrystal Boy arrives into a team used to getting horses ready to win. He is by Crystal Ocean, a dual Group 1 winner and proven sire of fast, genuine racehorses. His dam, Alflora, adds a solid foundation to the pedigree. When he steps onto the track, it will be his first real test — but not his trainer's.
