Audience has also won twice at the top level in top-class races at Newbury and Goodwood, both within the last two years, which means this is not a horse living on past glories. The Class 1 record overall reads as 3 wins from 16 races, or roughly one in five attempts at the highest grade. For a seven-year-old still competing at that level, that's respectable. Many horses would be dropped down long before this.

Jockey Robert Havlin has been Audience's regular partner, and their record together is notably strong: five wins from 21 races together, or better than one in four. That partnership matters, and suggests Havlin knows how to get the best from this horse. Trained by David O'Meara at Upper Helmsley in Yorkshire — a yard that has sent out 101 winners this season alone — Audience continues to race actively. The horse was out just one day ago, which speaks to a resilient, consistent campaigner. What Audience lacks is the dominant form of recent weeks; the last six runs show no wins, though there have been two placed efforts. At seven years old and without a win since Goodwood in late July 2024, the window for this horse to add another victory is narrowing. But on the right ground, against the right field, Audience has shown it still belongs at the top table.
