Argentum

Argentum spends most of its time in Class 6 races, which are the entry-level contests in British racing — the kind where horses are essentially competing for the right to step up. In seven races at that level, the win count is still zero. That's not a disaster; plenty of horses find their moment eventually. But it does mean Argentum hasn't yet found the right combination of conditions, timing, and competition to get its nose in front.

The horse runs out of Matt Crawley's yard in Newmarket, one of the most famous training centres in the world, a town where horse racing essentially is the local industry. Crawley's team has sent out four winners this season, so the operation is ticking over. Argentum raced just 11 days ago and is clearly in active work, which suggests the yard — sorry, the yard — still believe there's a win in the horse somewhere. Whether that belief is rewarded soon is the question.
