It has not always been straightforward getting to this point. Tinkler admitted during a stable tour in autumn 2025 that the horse had been "a bit of a worrier who's lost confidence in himself," and that the yard had hoped for more after a promising run at Haydock. That kind of candour is rare from a trainer, and it tells you something about how closely the team has had to manage this horse. Tinkler noted he had been "quite weak" as a younger horse when he won his first career race at Newcastle in April 2025 — a win that surprised even his own trainer. "I'm surprised he won as well as he did," Tinkler told Sky Sports Racing, "but he is a nice horse and hopefully he can go on."

Going on turned out to mean going back to Redcar. His most recent win came there just two weeks ago, and Tinkler was delighted: "It was absolutely brilliant. He was given a great ride by Alex and he did win very easily." That rider, Alex Jary, has been on board for 17 of Andalprofit's 24 races and accounts for both of his Redcar wins. Two wins from 17 races together is modest on paper — roughly 1 in 9 — but the partnership clearly works best when horse and track conditions align.

One caveat worth noting: Andalprofit has raced nine times at Class 5 level, the lower end of the sport's ranking system, and has not won once at that grade. His wins have come when the race conditions have suited him in other ways. He is not a horse chasing prestige — his career earnings sit at a level that keeps him firmly in everyday racing — but with recent form showing a win and a second in his last six outings, he heads into the next few weeks in the best shape he has been for some time.
