Both of those wins have come in the company of jockey Alex Jary, who has ridden Andalprofit in 14 of its 19 races. Together they have won 2 of those 14 — about 1 in every 7 rides — which is a noticeably better ratio than Andalprofit's overall record suggests. There is clearly something that works between this particular horse and this particular rider, and trainer Nigel Tinkler, based at Langton in North Yorkshire, has clearly noticed. Tinkler's yard has been in strong form this season, sending out 37 winners, so he knows what a well-matched partnership looks like.

The first win came at Newcastle in April 2025, and the second at Redcar in November — two very different tracks, which tells you this is not a horse that only fires in one specific set of conditions. That said, the Redcar win was now five months ago, and recent form has been mixed. The last six runs read 9-1-8-4-6-2 from oldest to most recent, meaning Andalprofit finished second last time out, just eight days ago. That is an encouraging sign — a fresh placing after a lean spell is exactly the kind of form that suggests a win might not be far away.

One curious detail in the record: Andalprofit has raced nine times at Class 5 level — which is towards the lower end of the competitive ladder — and has not won any of them. Both career victories have come elsewhere. That is the sort of statistic that makes you scratch your head slightly. It could be coincidence given the small numbers, but it does suggest the horse may actually be better suited dropping into different race conditions rather than the ones it has most often been entered in. Tinkler will know the horse better than the numbers do, but it is worth keeping in mind.

Currently active and having just finished second, Andalprofit looks like a horse on the way back up. Whether another win follows soon depends on the right race appearing at the right time — but the partnership with Jary gives it the best possible chance when it does.
