Her one victory came at Haydock Park on 3 July 2025, and with her most recent run coming just yesterday, she is very much a horse in the thick of things right now. The fact that she has not won since that Haydock success — posting a second, fourth, and second in the races that followed — suggests she has been finding one or two rivals just a bit too good on those occasions, though she has remained competitive throughout.
She races out of Richard Hughes's yard at Upper Lambourn in Berkshire, and that is a useful place to be right now. Hughes has sent out 65 winners already this season, which is the kind of output that tells you the stable is in excellent form and knowing what it is doing with its horses. For a young horse still learning the game, being part of a yard firing on all cylinders is no small advantage. With a win rate of one from four — 25%, or roughly one in every four races — America Queen has already outperformed plenty of her peers, and the question now is simply whether she can find a way to get her head back in front.
