The most interesting thread in Scargill's career so far is his partnership with Astronomica. Two wins from 17 races together might not sound like a lot, but in a sport where some horses race their whole lives without winning at all, landing two together tells a story of persistence and a trainer who knows his horse well enough to keep finding the right opportunities. Roughly 1 in every 8 or 9 races together has ended in a winner — a modest ratio, but one built over a genuine long-term campaign.
