One win from 13 races together means Walsh has sent this horse out time and again, clearly believing in what it can do — and for the most part, that faith hasn't been repaid at the finish line. That said, there is a win in there, which tells you Pepperpots can do it on the right day. The question is how often the right day comes around.

Walsh is still early in his career, and plenty of trainers who went on to achieve great things had slow starts. But three years in with the numbers looking like this, the next twelve months will matter a great deal.
