Zajal

Zajal is a two-year-old in the yard of Charlie Appleby at Newmarket, one of Britain's most successful trainers — Appleby's team has already sent out 121 winners this season. The horse made its racecourse debut just over a day ago and finished second, showing enough promise to suggest there is more to come. With only the one race under its belt, Zajal is very much at the start of its career, and that runner-up finish gives the yard and the yard something to build on as the horse heads into the rest of its racing life.
