You Lift Me Up

Recent form tells the story of inconsistency. In the last four races, You Lift Me Up finished fourth, then seventeenth, then seventh, and most recently eleventh just yesterday. That jump from eleventh back up to fourth suggests the horse has some ability to find a better rhythm on certain days, but nothing close to a breakthrough has arrived. Trained by P J Rothwell at Tinahely in County Wicklow, You Lift Me Up is part of a yard that has enjoyed a strong season, sending out 35 winners so far. The trainer clearly knows how to get horses to the winner's circle, which means there may yet be improvement to come — but for now, this is a horse still waiting.
