Yafreh

Trained by the father-and-son team of Richard and Peter Fahey at Musley Bank in North Yorkshire, Yafreh is in capable hands. The yard has sent out 23 winners already this season, which speaks to an operation that knows how to get horses ready to perform. Fahey's stable has long been one of the more productive yards in the north of England, and with Yafreh raced as recently as yesterday and clearly fit and active, it feels like only a matter of time before those placings convert into something more.

The question now is whether the consistency holds and the nose finally gets in front. Horses that improve steadily through their early races — rather than flashing brilliance and then fading — often turn out to be the more reliable ones over time. Yafreh hasn't won yet, but it hasn't stopped trying either.
