That sole win came at Dundalk on 14 October 2025, and it remains the high point of his career so far. His recent form makes for mixed reading — a fifth, a thirteenth, a blank, and an eighth around that winning run — which suggests he can be inconsistent, though plenty of young horses take a while to put it all together consistently.

The distance range where he looks most dangerous is between five and six-and-a-half furlongs, the sharp, sprint end of the game. In five races at those distances he has won once, which works out at 1 in every 5 — and that 20% win rate over those trips is meaningfully better than his overall record. In short, if you see Whistling Jamesie lining up in a sprint, he is more likely to be involved than his career numbers alone would suggest.

He is most often partnered by Wayne Lordan, who has been aboard for seven of his nine races and steered him to that Dundalk win. One win from seven together is modest on paper, but the partnership clearly knows each other well at this point. The yard behind him belongs to Miss Natalia Lupini, trained out of Banbridge in Co Down — a small operation that has punched its weight this season with 17 winners, which is a solid return and suggests horses leave that yard in good shape. Whistling Jamesie raced just yesterday, so he is very much a horse in active training right now, and with a young horse who has only just opened his account, the next few months will tell us a great deal about where his ceiling really lies.
