The majority of its appearances have come in Class 1 races — the very top tier in Britain — and it has not won any of those 8 attempts. That is not a failure; that is a horse being aimed at the hardest contests around, week in and week out. Getting placed in those races still means beating plenty of rivals. For context, its biggest win came at Cheltenham on New Year's Day 2023, where it won a Class 2 race — one step below the elite level, but still a high-quality event at one of the most famous tracks in jump racing. Winning at Cheltenham means something. Not everyone gets to say that.

It first broke its duck at Newbury in March 2022 and most recently won at Doncaster in January 2025, so it has shown the ability to win across different tracks. However, that Doncaster win is now 14 months ago, and the current run of six races without a win — with a recent seventh-place finish the most visible sign of the drought — will not be lost on trainer E McNamara, who operates out of Rathkeale in County Limerick. McNamara's yard has sent out 22 winners this season, so this is clearly a stable that knows how to get horses ready to win. Getting Weveallbeencaught back into the winner's enclosure is clearly the next challenge.

Regular partner Sam Twiston-Davies has been in the saddle for 10 of those 23 races together, recording 1 win from those 10 — winning roughly 1 in every 10 rides, which is below the horse's overall average. The pair clearly know each other well at this point, and with the horse still active — it raced just 17 days ago — there are more chapters still to write for a nine-year-old that has already tasted victory at Cheltenham and shows no sign of calling it a day.
