It has a particular fondness for Southwell, winning 2 of its 5 races there. Win 2 from 5 at any track is genuinely impressive; most horses never find a course that suits them that cleanly.

The partnership with jockey Shane Gray is worth noting. In 23 races together, Gray has ridden We Never Stop to all 5 of its career wins — that is a win rate of 22%, or roughly 1 in every 4 and a half races. That is a meaningful bond between horse and rider, and it is the kind of continuity that trainers value. What gives the profile a small edge of intrigue is the recent form. Since that Newcastle win in April, We Never Stop has run six times without winning, finishing as far back as 19th on its worst day. The form figures — 2-16-19-8-3-9 — suggest a horse that has had its moments in the top half but has also had some difficult outings. Whether that April victory marked a brief peak or whether there is another win waiting is the interesting question.
