Three of its five wins have come in Class 2 races — some of the better races you'll find outside the headline events — which means this horse has beaten decent rivals on multiple occasions. That's not something every horse at this level can claim. Most of the time, Class 2 fields are full of horses with similar profiles, and finding the winner consistently is hard. We Never Stop has managed it at 16% — winning 3 of its 19 races at that level — which is quietly respectable.

The horse has a clear soft spot for Southwell, the all-weather track in Nottinghamshire. Two wins from just five races there is a 40% hit rate — nearly 2 in every 5 — which is the kind of number that makes you sit up. All-weather tracks each have their own quirks of surface and shape, and some horses simply take to one the way a footballer takes to a particular stadium. Southwell appears to be that place for We Never Stop. Normal ground conditions bring out the best in it too: 3 wins from 10 races on a standard surface, or 30%, compared to a much patchier record elsewhere.

The partnership with jockey Shane Gray deserves a mention. Together they've won 5 of their 22 races — roughly 1 in every 4 — which is a strong relationship by any measure. When a jockey knows a horse that well, and the horse performs at its best under that partnership, it matters. The win at Newcastle in April 2025 — a Class 2 on the all-weather — was their latest success together, and it came just ten days ago, so this horse is fit and active right now.

Recent form shows a run of five races without a win since that Newcastle success, and the numbers — 3-9-7-4-25-12 — suggest it hasn't been threatening at the top end. But given its record at Southwell and on normal ground, the right conditions could quickly change that picture.
