Wanderlust
Wanderlust is a 4-year-old horse with an unusual record: three top-3 finishes across eight races, but never a victory. The horse has been without a win across its last six outings — a stretch that includes a second place and two more top-3 finishes, most recently finishing third just a day ago. That recent persistence in the placings suggests the horse has the pace to be competitive, even if it has not quite found a way across the line.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
Trained by Iain Jardine at Carrutherstown, Wanderlust is part of a yard that has already sent out 57 winners this season — a sign of a well-run operation with genuine firepower. For a horse that keeps running close without breaking through, being in a stable of that caliber offers some hope. The challenge now is straightforward: Wanderlust needs to convert one of these near-misses into an actual win. With three top-3 finishes already banked, the talent is clearly there. It is simply a matter of timing.
