Vivid Pink

The first win came at Huntingdon in November 2025, but it is the second that stands out. A victory at Market Rasen in June 2026, just four weeks ago, shows this is not a horse fading into the background — it is one heading in the right direction. Most of Vivid Pink's racing has come at Class 5 level, which is where the everyday bread-and-butter horses compete rather than the big-occasion stars, and even there the record reads 1 win from 8 races at that grade. The fact that the recent wins have arrived suggests something has clicked, whether that is fitness, confidence, or simply finding the right opportunities.

One curiosity in the record is the partnership with jockey Tom Cannon, who has ridden Vivid Pink seven times without a win between them. That is not necessarily damning — plenty of talented horses and jockeys simply do not click — but it is a pattern worth noting given that both wins have come with different arrangements in the saddle. Vivid Pink is trained by Alan King at Wroughton in Wiltshire, a yard that has sent out 57 winners already this season, so there is clearly no shortage of ability coming through the operation. King is an experienced handler who knows how to place a horse, and with Vivid Pink active just one day ago and in the form of her life, there is every reason to think the best of her story may still be ahead.
