Vienna Waltz

At this stage, almost everything depends on the horse's the yard and what they do with it. Aidan O'Brien, the trainer, runs one of the most successful operations in Ireland, and his yard has already sent out 125 winners this season. That kind of firepower means O'Brien has the resources to work with a horse over time, to find the right race and the right conditions. A ninth-place finish at two years old is not a sentence; it is barely a sentence fragment. The real test will be whether Vienna Waltz improves, where O'Brien pitches it next, and whether it shows any sign of the speed and stamina needed to win races. For now, it is a horse with everything still to prove.
