Ventriloquist

Ventriloquist is a three-year-old still chasing a breakthrough after three races without a win or a place. The horse has yet to land in the money, with recent finishes of 11th, 14th, and 11th across its last three outings. John C McConnell's Stamullen yard, which has sent out 36 winners this season, is the training base. The horse raced just a day ago, so it remains active and will have another chance soon enough. For a young horse early in its career, there is time yet, though so far the form suggests Ventriloquist has work to do before it shows the kind of promise that turns heads.
