Vartry Diamond is a five-year-old still searching for a breakthrough after two races without a win or a place. Trained by
P J Rothwell at Tinahely in County Wicklow, the horse is currently active and raced just a day ago, finishing seventh in its most recent outing. The yard itself has been in good form this season, sending out 35 winners, which suggests the team knows how to get horses in the winners' circle—just not yet, in this case, with Vartry Diamond. At this stage, with no form on the board from two attempts, this remains a horse with everything still to prove on the track.
