Valette
Valette is a six-year-old with a modest record: one top-3 finish from six races across its career, and no wins to show for the effort. The horse has raced in each of the last six outings without breaking through, finishing second most recently before that effort, then fifth, fifth again, fourth, and two runs where it failed to make the placings. It raced just yesterday, so it remains an active part of
Susan Corbett's yard at Otterburn in Northumberland.

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
Corbett's operation has been productive this season, with eleven winners already sent out, so Valette sits within a functioning team. But the horse's record tells a straightforward story: it competes regularly but has yet to win, and its recent form suggests it sits at a level where top-3 finishes come rarely. At six years old, Valette is well into its racing career, and the gap between competing and winning remains unbridge. Whether the horse might yet break through remains to be seen, but so far it has been a consistent campaigner without the rewards most owners and trainers hope for.
