What we do know is the breeding. Vale Of Lanherne is by Cannock Chase and out of a mare by Doyen — both stallions associated with stamina and staying power, which tends to suggest this is a horse built for distance rather than a quick sprint. Whether that potential translates into racecourse performance is exactly what the debut will begin to answer.
