The first win came at Leopardstown in October 2025, a track that tends to sort the decent horses from the also-rans. Then, most recently, Unauthorized went back to winning ways at Listowel just four weeks ago — suggesting the horse is in good form right now and worth keeping a close eye on. The recent form figures tell an interesting story though: that sequence of 8-1-–-1-5-8 shows a horse that can be inconsistent, mixing wins with some disappointing finishes. That kind of up-and-down pattern is common at this age, when young horses are still figuring things out, but the two wins sandwiched inside the last six runs show the ability is real and repeatable.

Unauthorized is trained by Aidan Melia, who operates out of Monasterevin in County Kildare. It's a small yard — just two winners on the board this season — which makes each success count all the more. Sending out a horse that wins 2 from 7 is no small thing when you're working with a tight string, and the fact that Unauthorized raced just one day ago means this is a horse very much in the thick of its season right now. One to watch.
