U Sure Do

The horse ran just yesterday, so it's actively campaigned. Its most recent victory came at Ripon two weeks ago, a good sign that it's racing regularly and finding the winners' enclosure often enough to justify its place in Tim Easterby's powerful yard at Great Habton in North Yorkshire. Easterby has sent out 128 winners this season alone, so the infrastructure is there to get the best from his charges. U Sure Do typically competes at Class 4 level, where it has won one of six races—a modest return at that grade, suggesting it may be running close to its ceiling in terms of class, yet it keeps finding opportunities.

The one puzzle is its record with regular jockey David Allan: zero wins from eight rides together. Yet the horse has found the frame in half its twenty races overall, so it clearly runs well enough to get into the placings consistently. U Sure Do won't set the world alight, but it has earned its keep and remains an active, useful racehorse in a competitive yard.
