The bulk of Twp Stori's racing life has been spent at Class 5 level — the bread-and-butter end of the sport, where races are competitive in their own right and every win is hard-earned. From 15 races at that level, the horse has won twice, a rate of roughly 1 in every 7 or 8 attempts, which is modest but not without merit in a consistent field of rivals. The first win came at Fontwell Park in March 2024, and the second at Lingfield Park in November of the same year. That Lingfield win is now nearly five months in the rear-view mirror, and the current run of six races without a victory will not have gone unnoticed back at the yard.
The partnership with jockey Robert Dunne is the most striking footnote here — eight races together and yet to find a win between them. That is not necessarily cause for alarm; some combinations simply haven't clicked yet, and Drinkwater's yard has been in decent form overall, sending out eight winners this season. Recent form shows a second and two thirds from the last three completed races, which means Twp Stori is not running badly — just not quite getting there on the day. Racing just yesterday, this is clearly an active, well-campaigned horse, and those placing efforts suggest the talent to win again is still there. Whether Robert Dunne is the jockey to finally unlock it remains the open question.
