The recent form figures — 8-22-4-15-4-3 — reveal a horse that has shown occasional flickers of promise without ever quite converting them. That third-place finish, the best of the sequence, suggests Twotolose can get involved at times, but the 22nd and 15th place results show it can also have days where things go very wrong. Racing just one day ago, it is clearly a horse still being tested regularly, which means the team has not given up on finding the right opportunity.
Trainer Daniel McLoughlin operates out of Newbridge in Co Kildare and has sent out 9 winners this season, so there is clearly ability in the yard to get horses winning. The fact that Twotolose remains in active training under a trainer who clearly knows how to win with horses is perhaps the most optimistic thing that can be said about its current situation. At some point, every yard decides a horse is not worth the entry fees. That day has not come yet for Twotolose.
