The numbers get even more striking when you look at what he did in 2025. Between late May and mid-October, he won four consecutive top-level races — at Sandown, twice at Ascot, and once at York. Four different venues, four different occasions, all at the highest level, all in a row. That kind of consistency is genuinely rare, and it makes the current four-race winning streak feel less like a hot patch of form and more like a horse operating at the peak of its powers.

Ascot is where he has made himself most at home. Three wins from seven races there — the famous track in Berkshire that hosts Royal Ascot every summer — is the record of a horse that knows the place well and performs on the big day. His most recent win came there on 18 October 2025, which means he hasn't raced in roughly five months. That break will draw plenty of attention when he returns.

Jockey William Buick has been on board for much of the good stuff. The pair have won 4 of their 7 races together — just over half — and the partnership has a settled, reliable look to it. Behind the scenes, Trawlerman is trained by the father-and-son team of John and Thady Gosden out of Newmarket in Suffolk, one of the most successful yards in the country. They have sent out 136 winners already this season alone, so they know how to manage a horse in form. Bringing Trawlerman back after a five-month absence is a straightforward task for a team of this quality, but it will still be the first question to answer when he next walks into the parade ring.
