Trafalger

The recent form is steady without being exciting. In its last six races, Trafalgar has finished fifth, fifth, eighth, fifth, third, and fifth again. That third-place finish, which came a few weeks ago, is the closest the horse has come to the winners' enclosure in its current run. Trainer Ben Case, who is based at Edgcote in Northamptonshire, continues to campaign Trafalgar despite the barren spell. Case's yard has sent out fifteen winners this season, so there is form in the stable — it is just not showing up in this particular horse. Trafalgar raced just yesterday, so it remains very much an active runner. Whether a change of tack or a softer opportunity might finally bring that elusive first win remains to be seen.
