Toor Idaho

The recent form makes for sober reading. A fourth place is the only positive result across the last six races, with the run before that a distant eighth. Since then, nothing — four consecutive efforts that didn't trouble the judge in any meaningful way. After the most recent of those, the team gave Toor Idaho a short break of around a month, which suggests they still believe there is something worth working with.

Jockey Liam Quinlan has been on board for half of the horse's career — six rides together — and the pair are yet to win together. That is not necessarily a damning verdict on either horse or rider, but six races is enough of a sample to say the combination hasn't clicked yet. Ms M Flynn, who trains Toor Idaho, has had just one winner on the board this season from her yard, so this is not a stable operating in a rich vein of form right now. Sometimes horses find their moment when least expected, but right now Toor Idaho is asking its team for a lot of faith in return for very little evidence.
