Tokyo Treasure

What's encouraging is the recent form. In the last six runs, Tokyo Treasure has been placed twice, most notably finishing second just a couple of races ago. That kind of consistency at the business end of races suggests the horse is getting closer to finding more wins, and timing has clearly improved since the earlier races in this stretch when placings seemed distant. Patrick T Foley's yard at Bagenalstown has had a productive season with twelve winners to their name, so Tokyo Treasure is at least in a stable that knows how to get horses to the line.

With Tokyo Treasure still actively racing just a day ago, this is a horse very much in work and given a real chance. The question now is whether that Cork win was a breakthrough moment or a false dawn. Either way, the horse deserves watching—fourth-year-olds who finally break through often go on to piece together a string of wins once they've tasted victory.
