Tir Og

The most recent win came at Naas back in November 2025, which is now seven months ago, and the horse hasn't managed to get back to the winner's enclosure in the six races since. That's not a crisis — horses go through quiet patches all the time — but it does mean there's something to prove. The recent form figures tell a mixed story: a fourth and a third suggest Tir Og is still competitive and placing, but two blank results and a 12th and 17th in the mix show it hasn't been consistently threatening at the front end.

The partnership with jockey Calum Hogan is one of the more encouraging threads running through this story. Together they've won 3 races from 12, which works out at 25% — one win in every four rides together. That's a meaningful number and comfortably better than the horse's overall win rate, suggesting Hogan brings something out of Tir Og that others don't always manage. All three career wins have come with Hogan in the saddle, which isn't a coincidence worth ignoring. The first of those wins arrived at Sligo in August 2025, and the partnership has clearly developed since. Tir Og raced just yesterday, so it's in the thick of a busy campaign and clearly fit and ready to go.
