Tilted Kilt

The most recent win came at Southwell just this week, on 9 April 2026, and the recent form makes for interesting reading: a win, then an eighth, then second, then a rough fourteenth, then third, then seventh. In other words, wildly inconsistent — but clearly capable of something special on the right day. The first career win came at Kempton Park back in June 2024, so there's nearly two years between the two victories. That's a long wait, and it tells you this isn't a horse that makes winning look easy. But it does win.

One thing worth noting is that jockey Cieren Fallon has been in the saddle for five of those 14 races and has yet to get Tilted Kilt across the line in first. That's 0 from 5 together — a combination that has produced plenty of placed finishes but no winner yet. Whether that changes remains to be seen. The yard behind the horse is William Knight's operation in Newmarket, one of British racing's great training centres, and Knight has sent out 27 winners already this season — a busy, productive yard that clearly knows what it's doing.

At Class 3 level, which is where Tilted Kilt has competed most regularly, the record is 0 wins from 6 attempts. That's the level where things get genuinely competitive, and so far the horse has found one or two rivals too good on those occasions. The wins have come elsewhere, which suggests Tilted Kilt is a horse that thrives when conditions fall just right rather than one that dominates its grade week in, week out. Still only 4 and racing just yesterday, there's every reason to think there are more days like Southwell still to come.
