When she does race at the lower levels where the yard typically places her—Class 4 company—the numbers are stark: she has yet to win from four attempts at that standard. Her form over her last six races tells the story of a horse treading water: a fourth, a second, a fifth, two sixths, and an eleventh. There are flickers of hope in that second-place finish, but consistency has eluded her so far. The Milnathort yard, trained by Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore, has been in fine form this season with 49 winners to their name, so they clearly know how to get horses to the post competitively. Whether Tigress Lilly will be next to break her duck remains to be seen, but at five years old and still without a win after eleven attempts, the window for that first success may be closing.
