What makes that win meaningful is the context. This isn't a horse that strolled through her career and picked up an easy victory — she had to be fixed first. Horses that suffer that kind of psychological setback don't always come back from it, so the fact that she did speaks to both her underlying ability and the patience of the Kentisbeare yard. Rod Millman has sent out 42 winners this season, which puts the stable in strong form, and a trainer operating at that level doesn't tend to invest time in a horse unless there's something to work with.

Her most recent run came just days ago, finishing fourth at Nottingham when stepped back down to five furlongs — a distance Millman believes is probably just too sharp for her. Six furlongs, where she won, appears to be her distance. Her last six results read 2-4-1-5-4-5, which shows inconsistency, but given what she went through mentally, a return to form and a win at Nottingham is exactly the kind of positive trajectory you want to see. Whether she can build on it and find more wins at her typical level remains to be seen, but she's at least running in the right direction.
