The recent form makes for honest reading: finishing fourth the last day out, then 13th, 7th, 7th, 3rd, and 10th before that. There is no obvious upward curve there, though the third-place effort shows it can at least get competitive on its day. It raced just yesterday, so the yard are keeping it busy and clearly believe there is something to work with.
The yard behind it — William Muir and Chris Grassick, based in Lambourn — has sent out 20 winners this season, which shows this is a capable operation that knows how to get horses ready to win. Lambourn is one of Britain's great training centres, and a yard posting that kind of seasonal tally is no small outfit. The question for Three Builders is simply whether it can translate that environment into a first victory. At three years old, there is still time — plenty of horses take a while to find their feet — but right now it remains a horse with promise still on account rather than in the bank.
