Her trainer Sandy Thomson, whose yard at Lambden in the Scottish Borders has put together 18 winners this season, is refreshingly candid about what she is and what she isn't. She's tiny, he says, and that size dictates everything — the types of races she runs in, the tracks that suit her, even how much you can ask of her. Thomson knows she needs things to fall into place, and when they do, she delivers. When they don't, she can drift out of contention entirely, as her recent run of seven races without a win suggests.

What's interesting is where she does her best work. Over a trip of one mile six furlongs to two miles, she's won 1 from 4 races — that's a 25% win rate, one in four, which is genuinely good. The problem is she's been asked to compete at Class 4 level eleven times and hasn't won once. Her two career victories have come in slightly different circumstances, and the trainer's own words are telling: two and a half miles around Musselburgh seemed to suit her particularly well, while two miles at Kelso felt a bit sharp. That's a very specific set of preferences for a small horse, and Thomson clearly has a precise picture of when to back her and when to be patient.

Her last win came at Musselburgh in November 2024 — over a year ago now — and before that, a first career victory at Uttoxeter in June of the same year. Both wins arrived in 2024, which means she found her feet late in life and is capable of surprising people. She raced just yesterday, so she's very much still in training and active. Jockey Lewis Dobbs has been aboard ten times for one win together, a 10% return that mirrors the horse's overall profile — not prolific, but not without hope. If Thomson can find her that long trip around Musselburgh again, with the right conditions, she's shown she knows exactly what to do.
