Trained by Nick Scholfield out of Lambourn in Berkshire, Theheatison is part of a yard that has been in fine fettle this season, sending out 22 winners — a number that reflects a healthy, well-organised operation rather than a yard scraping results together. Lambourn is one of Britain's great training centres, and horses coming from there tend to be properly prepared. The recent form reading of 1-5-5 tells a straightforward story: two runs to find its feet, then a win when it clicked.

At just two years old and three races into its career, there is very little to read too deeply into yet — but a winner already, trained by a yard in form, and racing again almost immediately after a victory, all point to a team that knows what they have and are not hanging around.
