That is a remarkable conversion rate for any horse at any level, and it tells you something important: if the ground is right, That's About Right becomes a completely different animal to the one that quietly disappears in the pack on bad days.

Then there is Thurles. Two wins from seven races at the same track might not sound earth-shattering, but in racing terms, a horse that keeps returning to a venue and keeps winning there is a horse that genuinely suits the place — the shape of the track, the cambers, the way races tend to be run. Rothwell's yard has been in fine form this season, sending out 35 winners, and clearly knows when and where to point this one.

The last victory came at Thurles in January 2025, and the form figures since have been patchy. But with a yard firing, a jockey who clearly clicks with the horse, and a course where it has already won twice, the recipe for another good day is not hard to imagine — it just needs the right ingredients to come together.
