The horse made a winning debut at Galway on 27 July, then came back to win again at Killarney this week on 22 August. That second win came after a placed effort, showing Teofil can bounce back from a race that didn't go to plan. Winning twice in three starts over the space of a month tells you the horse is both ready and in form — trainer J S Bolger, based at Coolcullen in Co Carlow, clearly knows how to have it primed for the right moment. The yard has sent out eight winners this season, so this is not a small operation.

What stands out is the consistency. Teofil has not finished worse than second in any race; that kind of reliability at this stage of a career, combined with a win rate that sits at roughly two victories in every three runs, suggests the horse could be moving forward. The quick turnaround between the Galway and Killarney wins, with a placed finish in between, shows an animal being campaigned actively and responding well to racing. For a 4-year-old, this is a pattern that catches the eye.
