Tenacious

The immediate picture is mixed. In its last six races, Tenacious has finished 13th, 11th, 8th, 13th, 13th, and 3rd — so the most recent run, just a day ago, marks a sharp improvement in form. That third place suggests the horse may be finding its level or responding to a change in conditions or race type, after a run of mid-field and back-of-the-field finishes. Whether this is the start of something better, or simply a flash of competitiveness before returning to the grind, only time will tell. At three years old, Tenacious still has room to develop, and horses that have struggled early sometimes do find their feet as they mature and the right opportunity comes along.
