The most striking thing about Tawaazon's record is what happens at Dundalk. From 18 races at that track, the horse has won 4 times — that's winning nearly 1 in every 4 or 5 visits, which is a genuinely remarkable hit rate for a horse that only wins 1 in 7 overall. Dundalk is Ireland's only all-weather track, running its cards under floodlights through the winter months, and some horses simply take to it in a way that defies easy explanation. Tawaazon is clearly one of them. The very first career win came there back in September 2022, and the track has been a happy hunting ground ever since.
There's also a case for running Tawaazon in wet, soft conditions whenever possible. From just 5 races on genuinely wet or muddy ground, the horse has won twice — a 40% win rate that leaps off the page compared to the overall record. Two wins from 5 is almost too small a sample to be conclusive, but that kind of difference doesn't happen by accident.
The partnership with jockey Sean D Bowen has produced 2 wins from 11 races together, roughly 1 in every 5 or 6, which sits nicely above the horse's general average. It's a combination worth watching. Kinsella's yard at Rathdrum has already sent out 5 winners this season, so the operation is in decent form.
The last win came at Naas in May 2025 — about 14 months ago now — and the most recent six runs have produced a second place as the best result, with no wins among them. That's a stretch without a victory that will be testing everyone's patience. But Tawaazon raced just yesterday and is clearly still active and still being aimed at races that can be won. A return to Dundalk on a wet night might be exactly what's needed to end that wait.
