The wins came quickly and closely together. Tamashal broke through at Chelmsford on 12 March 2026, then backed it up with another victory at Southwell just over a fortnight later on 28 March. Two wins in the space of sixteen days suggests a horse that was building confidence and hitting form at just the right moment. Since then, the most recent runs show finishes of first and second — so the level has held up. Across seven career races in total, Tamashal has won 2, which works out at roughly 1 in every 3.5 races, a solid return at this stage of a young horse's development.

The trainer behind all of this is Richard Hannon, whose yard at Herridge in Wiltshire has been in exceptional form — sending out 118 winners already this season. With a race as recently as yesterday, this is a horse very much in the middle of its season, not one being rested or managed down.
