Competing mostly at Class 5, which sits at the lower end of the racing ladder where horses of a similar level are grouped together, Sure To Be Sure has yet to convert any of its three runs at that level into a win. In plain terms, that's zero from three — and when a horse can't win at the easiest tier of competition, it raises genuine questions about whether a victory is coming any time soon.
The one bright spot is that third-place finish, which at least shows the horse can get into contention. But bright spots alone don't fill a trophy cabinet, and with form reading 5, blank, blank, 5, 3, 10 in recent outings, the trend is not obviously pointing upward. Still active and racing as recently as today, there is time yet — but Sure To Be Sure has plenty to prove before it can be considered anything more than a horse that makes up the numbers.
