Whether she can tap into that form is the question. With a race just yesterday, she is at least busy and getting experience, which for a young horse in her first season can matter as much as the results themselves.

At this point, the honest assessment is that Sun Of Dolly has not shown what she needs to show. Three starts without troubling the judge is not a crisis for a three-year-old still finding her feet, but the clock is ticking. Racing fans will be watching to see whether a change of conditions or a drop in grade unlocks something, or whether these early runs are simply a sign of where she currently stands.
