Slattery clearly knows how to get horses to the post in winning shape, so Suir Monad has the platform of an effective trainer behind it. At three years old, the horse is still very much in the learning phase of its racing life, and consistent runs like these — hovering around fourth and third — are not uncommon for horses working towards that breakthrough moment. With racing activity so recent, the focus will be on how quickly it can build on these runs and finally register a win.
