His two wins have come a long way apart. The first arrived at Clonmel in November 2024, early in his career with trainer Gavin Cromwell at Navan. It was a telling performance — the winner pulled 17 lengths clear of the second and third, suggesting real class on the day. His second win came at Listowel in June 2025, when a strongly run pace suited him. He settled back early before finishing strongly, which tells you something important: he does not always need to be up front, and may actually benefit from races where others do the early work. The jockey noted afterwards that he seemed to want a longer trip but remained uncertain whether he could truly stay it — he sits in that awkward middle ground where his ideal distance remains unclear.

What is striking is the recent dry spell. He has not won in his last six races, though he has placed twice in that run and only finished out of the first five once. So while the victories have dried up, he remains a consistent type — the kind of horse who turns up and runs a decent race most days. Gavin Cromwell's yard at Navan is firing on all cylinders this season with 96 winners, and Stuntman Steve raced just yesterday, so he remains an active part of that operation. Keith Donoghue has partnered him eight times with one win between them, a 12% return that slightly outperforms the horse's overall record.
