The trainer, Mrs J. Harrington, runs a yard based at Moone in County Kildare that has already sent out 53 winners this season, so Storm Ready is operating in a stable with serious form and experience. That counts for something when you're trying to build on a perfect start. The horse is still racing hard and active — it was only in the paddock a day ago — which suggests the team is confident enough to keep it sharp and competitive while the winning feeling is fresh.
With just two races to its name, Storm Ready hasn't had the chance to prove itself against tougher opposition or over longer distances. But in a sport where most young horses lose their first race and take months or years to find the winner's circle, a 100% record this early is worth paying attention to.
