Trained by Kieran P Cotter out of Portarlington in County Laois, the horse is at least with a yard that knows how to win. Cotter's team has sent out seven winners already this season, which shows there's genuine ability in that stable. Whether Stellar Path can tap into that remains the question. It raced just yesterday, so the yard — sorry, the team — are clearly keeping it busy and looking for improvement.

At this stage, two runs is a tiny sample, and plenty of horses take time to figure things out at two. But finishing eighth and ninth suggests there's meaningful work to do before this one starts troubling the judge.
