Starflow

Recent form tells an encouraging story. In the last six races, Starflow has won twice, placed twice, and finished outside the money twice — a record of first, first, seventh, eighth, then a miss, then twelfth. That's not perfect, but it shows a horse that knows how to win and isn't a one-race wonder. The speed of those recent victories, coming within little over a month of each other, suggests the horse is on an upward curve rather than fading.

Henry de Bromhead, Starflow's trainer at Knockeen in County Waterford, runs a powerful yard — one that has already sent out 110 winners this season. That kind of operation knows how to get the best out of its horses, and Starflow is clearly one de Bromhead believes in. At three years old with two wins already under its belt, Starflow has time and opportunity ahead. The question now is whether the horse can maintain this rhythm and keep climbing, or whether those two recent wins mark the peak of what it can achieve.
