When a horse consistently performs like that at one venue, it's not luck; something about the track suits him down to the ground, whether it's the shape of the bends, the surface, or the distances on offer. His very first career win came at Dundalk in January 2024, and he's made it something of a home from home ever since.

He's also very particular about conditions and distance, in the best possible way. On normal ground, he's won 4 of 7 races — more than half. Stretch him out to between a mile and six furlongs and two miles, and the record reads 4 wins from 8, again over 50%. That kind of consistency over a specific trip tells you his trainer Emma Lavelle has him well figured out. Lavelle, based in Wiltshire, has sent out 44 winners already this season — a yard clearly in fine form — and Squire Danagher looks like one of her sharper tools at this level.

Jockey W J Lee brings out the best in him too. In nine races together they've won three times, which works out at roughly 1 in every 3 rides — a genuinely strong partnership. Recent form reads 1, then a couple of unplaced runs, then a third, a second and an eighth going further back, so there's been the odd blip but his current trajectory is firmly upward. The only mild puzzle is that he's yet to win in three attempts at Class 4, one step up in quality — but given what he's doing at his current level right now, that conversation might be coming sooner than expected.
